Austin Legal Access provides legal representation to individuals who's income falls at or below 400% on the Federal Poverty Guideline Chart. The Federal Poverty Guideline standards are set yearly by the U.S. Health and Human Services Department.
Household income will be verified by submission of the client's most recent tax return, most recent W2 or last 30 day pay-stub. We will review individual + spouse's income, unless seeking divorce, to determine household income.
Household size will be determined by the individual + spouse + dependents.
You may reference the chart below to see if you qualify for legal representation under ALA.
More information regarding the Federal Poverty Guideline Chart may be found on the U.S. Health and Human Services website.
